Our current library haul…there are some awesome books in here that I really wanted to share my thoughts on, but life has been busy lately and for now this is what I am able to do…
A Stick is an excellent thing: A collection of poems for children. I absolutely loved this one. And my boys loved it too. Per my library, April is poetry month and I love poetry so I am super excited to have introduced poetry to my boys via this child friendly, engaging book.
Milton’s Secret: This was written by Eckhart Tolle and is geared towards the 5-10 age group. Absolutely loved it! I will read anything Mr Tolle writes 💕
Creepy Carrots, The Dinosaur Expert, There’s Nothing to do on Mars, A Perfect Day for Digging, Superheroes are Everywhere, This Book Ate my Dog – all very engaging reads, some funny and some others with inspiring messages. Highly recommend them all.
Among the easy readers, we are continuing to enjoy Dav Pilkey’s Dragon Tales and Cynthia Rylant’s Henry and Mudge (also Poppleton and Mr Putter & Tabby) series. We checked out one book from Buzz Beaker series this time around and liked it. We have also tried Dav Pilkey’s Ricky Ricotta series which has been a big hit with my boys.
Last but not the least, our obsession with dinosaurs continues with the Dinopedia. It seems like this book comes into my home from the library almost every other week. My boys simply loooove it and can’t get enough of it. May be I should just buy a copy for our home library?
Have a great weekend, everyone!
