Walter is jumping on the bed and his bed falls down through the floor into the apartment downstairs, taking a few of his things along with it. It does not stop there. It continues to fall through the ceilings of the apartments downstairs, taking with it the people who live in them and some of their belongings. By the time it hits the bottom floor the bed is filled with people and their belongings.
With a fun and engaging story, a simple plot, a decent amount of text and fun illustrations, this turned out to be a great read aloud book with my boys. This also turned out to be a great bedtime read aloud for us because my boys love silly stories and I love to laugh with them at the end of the day. It’s a great way for me to unwind at the end of the day.
Tedd Arnold’s books seem to be fun and interesting for young readers. We also read his Parts series before. It is also a fun series to read but probably more for kindergarten age children. I have now added the fly guy series, also by Tedd Arnold, to my read aloud list.
