This book was recommended to me by a coworker. I am struggling to meditate and was looking for suggestions for books that can help me with this. I don’t have the time to attend group meetings or listen to a guru. So, this is my way of teaching myself a few techniques that would help me improve the quality of my life. This book is about the Buddhist Vipasana meditation techniques. I only read the first two chapters but I am already convinced that this will be a great read for a busy, working mother like me. I can’t wait to read more!
Also, I have been using this iPhone app called Headspace to guide me through my morning meditations. I did 5 meditations already and they were all free although I believe there is a cap on the free meditations. I am liking them so far. It’s an easy way to get started with making meditation a part of my daily routine. I have only been meditating for 5 mins every morning but I intend to increase it 10 mins soon.
