Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!

Tippy tippy tippy pat!

Spring-hurdle Dash! Dash!

Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!

These words are stuck in my head now because I have been saying them many times in many different voices to my boys.

This is a cute story of a guy who decides to finally plant a vegetable garden in his yard one particular spring only to find the rabbits damaging his produce at night. He works hard to implement various solutions to keep the rabbits out of his vegetable garden but the rabbits manage to outsmart him every time. Finally he gives in and decides to just share his produce with the rabbits.

My boys particularly enjoy stories that I read with different voices. This book is definitely one of those books where I could make different voices to make the story more enjoyable. We have also been playing a pretend game where I am Mr McGreeley and my boys are the rabbits – fun!

Some times children’s books have great hidden messages even for adults. This book made me think of how I resist some situations in my own life and fight them frantically until one day I decide to surrender to them and find peace. Some times one just needs to share the vegetables from their garden with the rabbits ❤️
