Mind and Reality: Who ordered this truckload of dung by Ajahn Brahm

Read these lines yesterday in Ajahn Brahm’s “Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung?” These lines (apparently an ancient proverb) were referenced in the chapter titled: “The Science of Silence” in the “Mind and Reality” section. The author narrates a few simple stories that demonstrate the differences between the mind and the reality to the reader and ends this chapter with: “This might sound profound until you work out that whoever said this…therefore didn’t know!” 😄 This has been Ajahn Brahm’s tone through our this book. He imparts profound wisdom by narrating simple stories (that can be read to children also) in a light hearted tone ❤️
