Nonfiction books for my preschoolers…

We are learning a lot about dinosaurs (T-Rex & Triceratops in particular), volcanoes, earthquakes and firefighters this week. I find books to be very useful during tantrums, meltdowns, sibling conflicts, mealtimes with busy 3 year olds, road trips, etc. I borrow several books from the library on a regular basis and strategically place them around the house and in the car not only to instill a love for books in my kids but also to help me deal with the challenging parenting moments in a peaceful, win-win manner. My kids can easily be lured into a read aloud session with me anytime and I use this to my own benefit as well as theirs.
